To have the most special event in the grounds of Galloway House, a Grade A listed building and surrounding listed organic landscape. You can hire the grounds for events of your choices from weddings and parties to wellness, fitness, meetings or discuss your individual requirements with us. We are here to make your day special memorable.
Accommodation is available locally and in the local coastal village of Garlieston.
Galloway House was built in the years 1740-42 for the 6th Earl of Galloway, Lord Garlies. Throughout The 19th Century and early 20th century, various Earls added to the stunning architecture and gardens, by further developing the property. In 1908.
The house was used as a convalescent hospital for servicemen injured during World War II. The house was sold in 1947 to the Glasgow Corporation who used the house as a Residential boarding school between the years of 1947 to 1976.
In 1976 the house returned to private ownership.
